CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE

I re-stumbled across my secondary school classmate's blog a few days ago. I remember always feeling uninspired, uninteresting, and unhappy in comparison with her. Maybe that's why I stopped reading all those years ago, I don't know.
When I read her blog again I felt the same way, except amplified by all the years that she's 'done something' and I... well haven't really done anything.

She's backpacked in exotic countries, been learning exciting new languages, creating beautiful images, writing exquisite prose. Things I'm physically able to do, but at the same time unable to do for the same earthly limitations.

There comes a time in your life when a 'absence of something' becomes more of a entity than the 'something' ever was. It moves now, slug style, lard like in consistency, under my skin.

Time to clean the cobwebs out of the closet, me is be thinking.

25TH, POODLES:

Us and Kesh&Charlie at something/someone's 2nd Anniversary at Blu Jazz.

Everybody holds his hands. Charlie steals my boyfriend.

So I steal his girl.

The not-so-newly opened Le Chinois which has taken over the Crazy Horse space at CQ.

Me acting pretty.

Le Chinois's club interior surprised me with its ode to seduction and old school glamour

The leather seats, dim lighting, almost arena like steps facing the dance floor and the long bar that runs along the club's length, walks a different beat from the rest of their immediate geography.

Upstairs includes a dining room

as well as a Lounge (which was considerably fuller than the Club downstairs)

Scarlet-esque no?

And that was all very nice, but the the main reason we went was to see old friends. (:

27TH, ALL SHADES OF ANG:

Might be alone on this, but I think its genuinely pretty nice.
